Looking back on our wedding gallery brings back all the feels! Oh how wonderful it is that photography can bring you right back to that day with all of the emotions that came with it. What a beautiful and perfect day it was. We were so blessed to have the February sun shining and all of our most important + favorite people witness our ceremony and be apart of our (pretty epic- if I do say so myself) dance party to follow. Blake + I had our first date at Brickstore Pub in Downtown Decatur. As soon as I toured the Historic Courthouse, as a potential wedding venue, I knew I had found our perfect place. The marble walls, windows, + simple southern charm was just magical. I love that we sat on the same bench we sat on during our first date on our wedding day. And I also love that Brickstore Pub let us sneak in during our portraits for a quick picture too! Decatur you are my fav.
My Favorite Things:
My mom cut out a heart from her wedding dress (circa 1986) and had it sewn onto my dress. My veil was my moms. My bouquet. My flower girl tu-tu’s, agapanthas,  + converse. My wedding paper was designed by the talented and lovely Lindsay Cox. She made all my quirky paper dreams come true. Polka dot bridesmaid dresses. Red heart stickers under my shoes of course. Our Cathedral ceremony. The wedding party venture from the church to reception on a white trolley with a ‘just married’ sign. Our Lady Gaga + Tony Bennett playlist for the trolley. Vintage Valentine place cards on each table. Our red velvet naked cake + high fiving toppers. Our Anthropologie display canvases we won at an auction for our estate table backdrop. Match boxes- my parents gave out the same exact favors at their wedding. Our dinner was delish thanks to Bold American…Blake + I still find ourselves dreaming about our dinner we served- ha! SO. GOOD. And lastly- our romantic sparkler getaway.
This day would not have been possible without my wonderfully creative + supportive parents- they sure know how to throw a party. We had the best time planning for this perfect day and I will always cherish looking back at these photos for many Valentine’s Days to come.
We love you February 14th!
